IID, a cybersecurity company that provides the platform to easily exchange cyber threat intelligence between enterprises and governments, has expanded its executive team with the addition of Bob Dunne as VP of sales.
Dunne will oversee IID's global sales team, which is focused on helping support the growing demand for its platform to exchange cyber threat intelligence, ActiveTrust.
"With the recent launch of ActiveTrust, and subsequent adoption by dozens of Fortune 500 companies and government agencies, IID has experienced dramatic growth," said IID CEO Lars Harvey. "Bob Dunne has a long history of helping structure growing cybersecurity sales' teams and catapulting companies into their next growth stage, and we're excited to welcome him to IID."
Prior to IID, Dunne was SVP of worldwide sales at cybersecurity company Tripwire, where he managed a global sales team that quintupled revenues. At Merant Software he restructured the management sales and support force that resulted in increased revenue, and ultimately the company's acquisition by SERENA Software. Dunne began his career at IBM and has led worldwide teams in senior executive and management roles at Tektronix, Mentor Graphics Corporation and other technology companies.
"ActiveTrust is filling a void that has existed for decades; giving businesses and government agencies a trusted platform to exchange cyber threat intelligence," said Dunne. "I specifically joined IID because we are at a critical point in the Internet's evolution where the bad guys have become increasingly successful in carrying out cyberattacks due to their sharing of attack methods. It has become clear that in order to secure the Web we must share better than the criminals, and IID provides the best way to do so."
Formally launched this February, ActiveTrust enables businesses and government agencies to confidently exchange threat intelligence and coordinate response between organizations, according to the company.
The addition of Dunne is the latest in a series of executive appointments at IID. In January the company appointed Ben King as CFO, Merike Kaeo as CISO and Mark Foege as VP of marketing.
