Food Holdings, a leading nationwide provider of specialty foods, healthcare foods, gluten-free foods and direct-from-source artisanal foods to the professional foodservice market, has elected Justin Wiernasz, president of Innovative Food Holdings, to its board of directors.
Prior to joining Innovative Food Holdings, Wiernasz served for 13 years at U.S. Foodservice in sales, management and senior management positions. In those roles, he acquired direct experience in marketing and sales and business development in the food industry. Positions included national sales trainer, where he was responsible for training sales reps for the Southeast United States; and most recently as VP of marketing, Boston, where he was responsible for implementing the marketing program for both Boston divisions of U.S. Foodservice. Prior to joining U.S. Foodservice, Wiernasz was the owner and operator of a 90-seat restaurant in Southampton, Mass., which he sold after four years of profitable operations.
"I am delighted to join the accomplished board that Innovative Food Holdings has created. I look forward to my expanded activities and to working with the board towards the continued success of the company," said Wiernasz.
"We are pleased to add Justin to our board of directors. We expect that his proven background in driving growth and creating value will be an asset. On behalf of myself and the other members of the board, we are delighted to welcome Justin to the board. I look forward to working with Justin as both the president and a board member of Innovative Food Holding towards the continued creation of shareholder value," said Sam Klepfish, CEO of Innovative Food Holdings.
