NEW YORK — Victoria’s Secret returned to Manhattan in a big way this week with the reopening of a flagship store in Herald Square that was expanded to 8,000-sq.-ft.
The opening comes just in time to allow Victoria’s secret to capitalize on holiday sales in New York as local demand tends to be complemented by an influx of foreign tourists. On hand for the reopening of the newly expanded and now largest flagship store in the world were Victoria's Secret Angels Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel and Lily Aldridge.
Victoria's Secret Herald Square will house the brand's most expansive collections, including bras, beauty, swimwear, Victoria's Secret Sport and Pink. The flagship redesign features warm, black cherry hardwood floors, sculpted pink surfaces with rich accents of black chrome, Italian marble floors and custom ribbon chandeliers adorned with backlit Swarovski crystals, which highlight the 14-ft. high focal wall showing iconic Victoria's Secret Angels images. Video screens on all three floors will showcase the world-famous Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, recent TV spots and supermodel footage.
The Herald Square location boasts the first-ever 2,500-sq.-ft. perfumery, featuring new European-inspired kiosks that brand’s full line of bestselling fragrances, including Victoria's Secret Bombshell, Dream Angels Heavenly and Victoria's Secret Angel.
The store’s lower level houses Victoria's Secret Pink, a collegiate-inspired collection of colorful bras, panties and loungewear, as well as the Victoria's Secret Sport collection. Customers shopping for bras will find the wide selection in the Bra Salon, where a team of bra specialists will provide assistance and complementary bra fittings. The store's fitting rooms have call buttons so customers can receive assistance and the beauty room has interactive videos to help customers in their shopping experience.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air at 10 p.m./9 p.m. Central, Dec. 4 on the CBS television network. Victoria's Secret Herald Square is open from 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sundays.
