Dick's Sporting Goods has named former ConAgra executive Andre J. Hawaux as its new EVP of finance and administration and CFO. Hawaux will oversee Finance, Legal, Strategic Planning and Risk and Compliance. He succeeds Timothy Kullman, who is retiring, in June.
Hawaux has more than 30 years of experience, most recently as president of consumer foods at ConAgra, one of North America's leading packaged food companies. Previously, he served as ConAgra Foods' EVP and CFO and was responsible for the company's finance and information system and services organizations.
Prior to ConAgra Foods, Hawaux served as GM of a large U.S. division of PepsiAmericas and previously served as CFO for Pepsi-Cola North America and Pepsi International's China business unit. He has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Pace University and an M.B.A. from Southern New Hampshire University.
"We are pleased to welcome Andre to Dick’s Sporting Goods and look forward to leveraging his expertise in the years ahead," said Edward W. Stack, chairman and CEO." Andre's extensive background in finance, operations and global business, along with his exceptional leadership and strategic acumen, will further strengthen our senior management team and will be instrumental as we execute our growth plans."
Dick's Sporting Goods is a full-line sporting goods retailer offering a broad assortment of brand name sporting goods equipment, apparel and footwear in a specialty store environment. Meanwhile at ConAgra, Tom McGough has been named president of consumer foods, replacing Hawaux.
“We are very pleased to have Tom in position to take over as leader of our consumer foods business,” said Gary Rodkin, CEO, ConAgra Foods. “We have a strong bench, including Tom, who is a 20-year veteran of the branded food business. He has shown strong leadership and results throughout his career, including his six years with us.”
