Interbrand elevates Feldmeth, Carpenter out as CEO

Leading brand consultancy Interbrand named Josh Feldmeth CEO to succeed Lee Carpenter who is leaving the firm after 12 years.

In his role as CEO of Interbrand North America, Feldmeth will be based in New York and oversee the company’s New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Dayton, Cincinnati and BrandWizard offices. Feldmeth previously served as CEO of Interbrand’s New York, San Francisco and Toronto offices. He will report to Interbrand’s global CEO Jez Frampton.

“Those who have benefitted from working with Josh will not be surprised by the news of his promotion. Josh’s genuine passion for brands, his supreme intellect and his dynamic leadership style will be welcomed by Interbrand employees and clients alike,” Frampton said. “While he has big shoes to fill with Lee’s departure, I am certain Josh will thrive in his new position. His collaborative style is perfectly suited to our OneFirm approach, an approach that ensures we always bring the best skills together for the benefit of our clients.”

Feldmeth joined Interbrand in 2002 as a vp of strategy in the company’s Dayton office and transferred to the company’s Zurich office in 2007 to drive the growth of Interbrand's analytics capabilities across Europe. In September 2009, Feldmeth became managing director of Interbrand Amsterdam and a year later he returned to the US to become CEO of Interbrand's New York office.

“Interbrand has been my professional home for over a decade, and for good reason. I believe in our service offerings, our commitment to clients and, above all else, our people,” said Feldmeth. “This is an exciting time for our business. It's a moment of transition when, more than ever before, we have the opportunity to help clients drive meaningful innovation and create world-changing experiences.”

Prior to joining Interbrand, Feldmeth was a principle consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the strategy practice.
